Friday night in Nanaimo saw the BC Hockey League Nanaimo Clippers host the Cowichan Capitals. The Capitals came to the game ready to play and avenge their humiliating 6 - 0 loss to the Clippers this past Saturday. At the home base of the Clippers they showed their determination winning with a score of Cowichan six, Clippers four.
The first period of the game offered a lackluster performance by the Clippers who played catchup hockey all night. Two quick goals in the second period by the Capitals had the Nanaimo fans groaning. There were many stoppages during the hockey game due to penalties called, too many of them for roughing.
The Nanaimo Clippers hold their next home game at the Frank Crane Arena on September 26 against the Surrey Eagles.
