Nanaimo Clippers hockey team lost to the Alberni Bulldogs in double overtime Sunday afternoon.  It looked like old times in the opening minutes of the game with two quick goals by the Clippers and fans were expecting the Shipmen to net an easy win against the Big Dogs.  This was not to be as the much improved Bulldogs fought back to tie the game.

At one point the Clippers led 4/2 but gradually the Big Dogs chased them down and forced overtime.  The first period of overtime was scoreless, but penalty shots in the fifth period settled the contest.  Alberni Bulldogs won 5/4.  Shots on goal for the game: Clippers 33, Bulldogs 31.

Clippers play again in Nanaimo Friday, January 30 against the Langley Chiefs.
