Nanaimo Clippers Vs Merritt Centennials Hockey-Video-01

The Nanaimo Clippers pulled off another win to keep their positive energy alive in 2009.  It was looking bleak for the team before the Christmas break, but they have rebounded to show the hometown fans that they are still winners.

The 6/3 win for the Clippers against the Merritt Centennials was a close one.  The score see sawed back and forth for the first two periods and it looked as if the Centennials were going to pull out a win.  It wasn't until late in the third period that the Clippers put in the winning goals and added an empty netter in the dying minutes for insurance.

There were surprisingly few penalties assessed during the game in spite of the spirited competition and at times, heated 'discussions.'

The Clippers meet the Albernii Bulldogs tomorrow at the Frank Crane Arena, three o'clock.

Good to hear the results of Nanaimo Clippers' games.

A little history of the team would be welcome., such as
the pre Frank Crane Arena days.
