The BCHL Nanaimo Clippers fought a close one to lose to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in double overtime, Friday night.  The action was at home for the Nanaimo Clippers who have faced the Bulldogs three times this season and come out the winner only once.

The Nanaimo Clippers scored early in the first period and held  the Alberni Bulldogs scoreless until the third period.  The first overtime period expired with no goals.  The second overtime ended about a minute and a half into it with a puck by an Alberni player. Final score Nanaimo Clippers one, Alberni Bulldogs two

There was some added interest in the meeting of the Nanaimo Clippers and the Alberni Bulldogs because of the coaching staff.  Long time assistant to Bill Bestwick, coach of the Nanaimo Clippers is now the head coach of the Alberni Bulldogs.  Nolan Graham made the move to Alberni this season.

The Nanaimo Clippers have no time to lick their wounds inflicted by the Alberni Bulldogs.  They meet top rated Penticton Vs tonight at the Frank Crane Arena.
