Friday night saw the BCHL Nanaimo Clippers lose 2/3 to the Cowichan Capitals hockey team. Nanaimo Clippers scored early in the first period and dominated the action for the first minutes of the game. After that their ho hum effort cost them the game. The Cowichan Capitals answered in the with two goals. The Clippers tied the game to much cheering by the 1500 fans in the building.
Late in the third, scrambling action in the Clippers end saw a quick, clean goal scored against them. The Clippers worked hard to even it up again, but it was a case of too little too late and they lost yet another close game.
The Clippers have managed to stay out of the basement so far, but the playoffs are looking more and more distant.
Clippers play the Alberni Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon at home. They will be facing a very much improved team in the Bulldogs.

Thank you for the post Barbara. I am sorry the clippers lost Friday night, hope they can make up for it with Sundays game.
Having fun and playing a great game is worth more then winning though.
