The Nanaimo Clippers, playing on Saturday night, against the Westside Warriors from West Kelowna saw their hot winning streak end in a two to five loss.  The Westside Warriors scored first and left the Nanaimo Clippers to play catchup.  The Nanaimo Clippers played what looked like to me, a disjointed game where many passes ended up on the stick of the Warriors.  The Westside Warriors' goalie was a star, stopping 21 shots by the Nanaimo Clippers.

The Westside Warriors' goalie earned one of the few penalties on Friday night for delay of game.  Twice in a couple of minutes when the Nanaimo Clippers were pressing hard the net was kicked off its pinnings resulting in a faceoff.  The second time it happened the ref assigned a two minute delay of game to the goalie.

Nanaimo Clippers embark on a road trip and will play again in the Frank Crane Arena on December 2 against the Victoria Grizzlies.  It will be their Teddy Bear Night when fans are asked to bring a new stuffed toy to throw onto the ice when the Clippers score their first goal of the game.  Last year they packed pickups and SUVs with the contributions toward underprivileged children.
