Andrea McNulty, a casino employee at a Harrah's Casino in Nevada, has filed a civil suit against Ben Roethlisberger, accusing him of sexual assault in July 2008.

In the civil suit, Andrea McNulty alleges that Roethlisberger asked her to come to his hotel room to fix the television. According to the complaint, Roethlisberger then forced McNulty to have sex with him.

McNulty also claims that some of her coworkers helped Roethlisberger after the assault. She is also accuses them of defaming her.

Roethlisberger faces civil counts of assault, sexual assault and battery, false imprisonment, false pretenses, fraud, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

No criminal charges have been filed against Ben Roethlisberger. It remains unclear whether Andrea McNulty has ever attempted to file criminal charges against Ben Roethlisberger.

Interesting story.  I suppose it would be difficult to make criminal charges stick.  It would be her word against his.  As in OJ Simpson's case it is easier to win a civil suit.

Interesting to note that it takes a full year to file charges. Not criminal but civil....

It's always about the money. What would a casino worker be doing trying to fix a television set?? Doesn't she realize that women are throwing themselves every day at NFL QB's and they don't need to assault anyone to get sex.

Another example of a woman trying to exploit an athlete.

If it smells like poop and looks like poop, it's probably poop. This is 99.9% BS.

Ben will need to get Kobe's lawyer for sure.

Man, you gotta love this country. I wonder why women don't speak out about sexual assualt when the majority of sports fans/people in general react like you hicks on this site. Always attacking the accuser/victim. Why not say "We will wait and see what happens" instead of Shame on you or It took a year.

Shame on all of you.

Someone has some pent up feeling that NO ONE CARES ABOUT.  She IS exploiting him. If it is not that obvious to you then wake up and smell the coffee. I am a woman and I can see there is BS written all over this.  I don't usually blog, but felt compelled to reply to your JUNK Thanks-

Yes its a shame stop sticking up for these women getting paid for lying.. yes men have rapped women and yes famous men have rapped women but in this day and age you can be convicted on rap charges with circumstantial evidence. Its one of the few that still exist with our penal system . She admitted that she was only there to fix the TV and she never met him prior. So then turns into a monster and traps her and rapes her in the hotel as the most famous QB in the NFL and doesn't even run. She never filed any criminal charges. Its BS you know it. There should be a law that you accuse someone of rap and there innocent then they should be able to sue you for slander, or civil..etc...

Ok if he did do it shouldn't she have pressed charges against him.  And if it did happen and the hotel management knew about it why did they not support her.  Something tells me that she is making this up.  They need to really dig deep into her past and her lawyers past. bet they find something.  And if he did not her attorney and herself need to pay for everything and spend time in prison both of them.  Be interesting to see what happens

I READ THE WHOLE COMPLAINT AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY, INSANELY RIDICULOUS!!! SHE'S BEEN IN AND OUT OF PSYCH WARDS AND UNDER ALL KINDS OF TREAMTMENT FOR THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF! SHE BLAMES EVERYBODY FOR EVERYTHING, EVEN SAYING THAT HER FRIENDS WENT INTO HER APARTMENT AND WIPED OUT ALL OF THE EVIDENCE SHE HAD ON HER HARD DRIVE. SHE'S A HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING

This woman gives all American women a bad name.  She is an opportunist trying to ruin the good name of a man who earned every penny in his bank account.

Her accusations sound ridiculous.  She wants a cut of his money and in the process ruin an innocent man for her own gain.  She doesn't care about his family, his feelings or his children.  She only cares about her own greed.

Rape is a serious charge and no one takes it lightly. Who would wait a whole year to file civil charges against a rapist? No one.  The fact she didn't file criminal charges immediately is the first red flag.

Seriously, people. If you get raped, you run screaming from the room straight to the hospital. Or how about 911.

Not this "one year later my life has fallen apart nobody will help me give me money and by the way sorry about your reputation you should have paid attention to me."

I'm not buying it.
