Big Brown and Kent Desormeaux

The Triple Crown hopeful before the start of the 140th Belmont Stakes, June 7th, 2008. He came in last due to unknown problems. Jockey Kent Desormeaux pulled him up to save him because Big Brown wanted to run, but he didn't have it in him to go. He tired out and became very frustrated that he didn't get to keep running. I commend Kent for protecting the horse and having his best interests in mind! I have a feeling it was the oppressive heat. I wouldn't want to run in that!
