Bowler Bill Fong on Plano, TX came unbearably close to completing a perfect 900 three-game set. Patrons at the Plano Super Bowl gathered around as Bill Fong bowled two games of nothing but strikes. Fong was about to bowl a third straight perfect game, but fell just one shot short. On the final shot, Bill Fong knocked down every pin except the 10-pin, leaving him just one pin short of bowling three perfect games.

But all was not lost for Bill Fong. He still holds the Texas state record series of 899.

But for Bill Fong, the record didn't provide much consolation.

"Everybody is happy," said Fong, "but I am not. I didn't achieve what I wanted. I wanted 900."

A self-proclaimed perfectionist, the 46-year-old barbershop owner called it the best and worst day of his life.

After the Bill Fong near perfect game, the 46-year-old said he suffered dizziness and nausea, which he believes he was caused by the intense adrenaline he experienced during his drive for 900 points.

"How could one of the best things happen to me, and all of the sudden I am in the bathroom thinking I am going to die?" Fong said, his eyes squinting as if a spotlight was being shined in his face. "I thought I was having a mini-stroke."

While bowling three perfect games is an incredibly tough task, Bill Fong may be up for the challenge. Fong had previously bowled 19 perfect games. He's holding out hope that he can put together three in a row.
