Joe Flacco the starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens was given a new nickname by Dunkadelic Sports Marketing 1 month ago before the start of the NFL season. BL Cool J No. 5 is an acronym that means "Baltimore Loves Cool Joe No. 5."

The new nickname has had mixed reviews by fans. Many of the lady fans that wear his purple No. 5 jersey to games were excited. One of the Raven female fans had on one of the t-shirts that read "B-More Loves Cool Joe No. 5."

Flacco was steady for the Ravens (4-1 record) Sunday afternoon and helped lead them to a 31-17 win over the AFC West Denver Broncos.

He completed 14 of 25 passes for 196 yards and ran for a score. Unlike Denver QB Orton, he was backed by a solid running game."They started doing some things to combat what we were doing. Then came our running game," Flacco said. "Our offensive line did a great job. Ray was just finding the little holes, putting us in good third-down situations."Lewis, who had a team-high six tackles, said, "You see what happens when the running game gets going. The passing game opens up, and it's only a matter of time before Ray [Rice] gets cranked up."

Rice rushed for 133 yards on 27 carries he also scored 2 touchdowns. This was his first 100-yard game of the season and his first rushing TD's as well. Willis McGahee ran for 67 yards on 10 carries. McGahee put the game away late in the 4th quarter with a 30-yard run for a touchdown that gave the Ravens a commanding 31-10 lead.

The Ravens have won 5 straight home games dating back to last season.

Local Baltimore graffiti artists Butchie Mears was commissioned by Dunkadelic Sports Marketing to construct a canvas art piece of the BL Cool J. No. 5 nickname. The art piece will be presented to rising-star quarterback.
