USC tight end Blake Ayles apologized for making obscene gestures prior to the team's game against Notre Dame last Saturday. A photo of Blake Ayles with both middle fingers in the air has been circulating on the web since the Notre Dame-USC game. The Blake Ayles photo shows the USC tight end giving the one-finger salute in the background of a pic featuring two Notre Dame fans on the field prior to the game.

Blake Ayles ended up apologizing for flipping the bird on camera.

"It was all my fault, so I just want to say that I'm sorry," Ayles said. "I didn't mean to disrespect the school or anyone.

"I was just being stupid."

USC head coach Pete Carroll said that Blake Ayles will be forced to do community service as punishment for his obscene gesture.

Blake Ayles is not the first USC player to have gotten in trouble for acts that caught the attention of the denizens of the Internet. Last season, USC linebacker Rey Maualuga apologized after doing a crude dance behind the back of ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews.

Here is the Blake Ayles Obscene Gesture Photo.
