Here are words you rarely see in the same sentence: "lacrosse", "mascot" and "lap dance." The Boston Blazers brought all those elements together this weekend as their team mascot received lap dances from female fans.

The Boston Blazers halftime show consisted of the team mascot receiving lap dances from female fans. The mascot sat in the middle of the arena at halftime as three women bumped and grinded on him, presumably for a prize that consisted of a t-shirt.

No one other than a few furries in the crowd seemed to enjoy the Boston Blazers Halftime Show. The New York Daily News reported that some fans were upset at the mascot lap dance, especially those that brought their families.

Blazers GM Doug Reffue eventually apologized for the Boston Blazers halftime show

"We are extremely disappointed with elements of the halftime show. We had intended to provide an entertaining and fun halftime environment for our fans and that is not what transpired," said Reffue on the team's Facebook page.

Let no one be surprised at this "event" and do not be taken in by the "apology" as the Blazer management knew exactly what they had sanctioned as well as the reaction that would result. A very sad way to gain attention but quite effective if swimming in cesspools is where you take your product.
