Michi Nogami-Marshall Arrested in Brandon Marshall Stabbing
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall was stabbed in what the local sheriff's office is calling a domestic violence incident. His wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall, was arrested.
Brandon Marshall, who spent the night in an intensive care unit, told police that he slipped and fell on a broken vase. Meanwhile, Michi Nogami-Marshall told the Broward County Sheriff's Office that she stabbed Brandon Marshall with a kitchen knife, but acted in self-defense.
Michi Nogami-Marshall has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Brandon Marshall is expected to recover within three weeks, as no vital organs have been damaged. The Dolphins can't contact him, though, due to the NFL lockout.
There was a broken vase at Brandon Marshall's house, but no blood was found in the vicinity. The couple shares a $4 million home in Southwest Ranches, Florida, a norhteastern suburb of Miami.
Brandon Marshall's and Michi Nogami-Marshall's history of domestic violence began weeks after their 2009 wedding, and Marshall has a string of arrests for drunk driving, domestic violence and disorderly conduct.
