Brandon Stokley Touchdown Video: Broncos Beat Bengals in Week 1
Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Stokley had one of the most remarkable plays of the Week 1 of the 2009 NFL season. With less than a minute left in the game and the Broncos down 7-6, Brandon Stokley caught a tipped pass and ran it for an 87-yard touchdown to win the game 12-7.
The Brandon Stokley catch came on what appeared to be a broken play. Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton threw a pass to receiver Brandon Marshall that was tipped by Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Leon Hall. The tipped ball dangled in the air before falling into the open arms of Brandon Stokley.
Stokley managed to the take the ball all the way down the field for an 87-yard touchdown. Smartly, Stokley killed some time off the clock by running parallel to the end zone before stepping in for the touchdown. Thanks to the Stokley's heads up play, the Bengals had only 11 seconds left in the game, not enough for them to mount a comeback.
