Brazil Fires Dunga, Who Was Resigning Anyway
Brazil's CBF (National Football Federation) fired Dunga, coach of the Brazilian national soccer team, as well has his technical commission. This move came only hours after Dunga and his team arrived back in Brazil after their defeat at the hands of Netherlands. Dunga had already said he was going to resign.

The Brazilian team landed amid heightened security, as angry fans made their way to Rio de Janiero's airport to heckle the returning players. Felipe Melo, whose red card forced Brazil to play with a man down, was spirited away in a car and made no direct contact with fans.
All that's left for him to do now "is to respect your decision, for, whether it is correct or not, it is not my place to question it. ..." he said in Monday's letter.
Football, a national obsession for Brazilians, has earned its national team five World Cup wins. The defeat was felt deeply by Brazilian fans.
