Brazil is the new Futsal World Champion after defeating Spain in the penalties by 4-2. It was the first time a Futsal world cup was decided this way. Brazil now accumulates six world cups.
In this very disputed and emotional match, Brazil was two times in the leading but Spain managed to tie it with a goal at the end of the 2nd half, when they changed the goalkeeper for an extra player, and took the game to the extra-time period. The extra-time period finished tied which led the dispute to be decided by penalties kicks.
Both teams had problems with players getting injured and fatigued. Brazil lost its best player Falcão in the end of the 2nd half, injured.
Brazilian goalkeeper did a terrific job defending two Spanish kicks.
