Breaking: Mets Fire Manager Willie Randolph
by PEP | June 17, 2008 at 12:40 am | 215 views | 2 comments
New York Mets manager Willie Randolph has been fired, the New York Times just reported. Earlier, writer William Rhoden took a look at the Mets' mess.
Hurry, hurry. Step right up. See the saddest show in town.
It’s fitting that the Mets’ managerial farce has come to Anaheim, which is 45 minutes from Hollywood and is home to Disneyland. These days, this is exactly where the Mets belong.
The process of firing or not firing a manager has become an unsightly display of weakness and a public embarrassment for the Mets, a silly spectacle more fitting for an amusement park than for Major League Baseball.

PEP, I like this story. It's good stuff. I knew they were going to fire him. It was just a matter of time. The question now is will they get a decent team together so they can start winning ball games on a consistent schedule.

That is the question, isn't it? They couldn't get their act together enough to handle this staffing problem, though. Thanks for the read and flag.
