Quarterback Brett Favre has now faked out fans with retirement two times. Favre un-retired today and signed with the Minnesota Vikings, just three weeks after he announced he was quitting NFL football for good. This change of heart marks the second time Brett Favre has come out of "retirement" to play football again.

After weeks of rumors and speculation about his NFL future Brett Favre announced that he was retiring from football the day before he was scheduled to report to the Minnesota Vikings training camp. Stating that he was not mentally of physically willing to play a 16-game season, Brett Favre quit football for a second time July 28, 2009.

Brett Favre, who only three weeks ago said he planned to remain retired, changed his mind yet again Tuesday, agreeing to join the Minnesota Vikings after all. It’s the second time in two years that Favre announced he was retired, only to reverse course soon after.

The Vikings, who had courted Favre throughout the off-season only to be left empty-handed on the eve of training camp, planned to address the media later Tuesday. When Favre initially said he would not come back, Coach Brad Childress said the team would move forward with the quarterbacks on its roster and had no interest in Favre.
