Aussies had put up a very strong onside field. The spinners also bowled a very negative line.

I write this when the little master has broken yet another milestone and he is now a leading run scorer in the two leading formats of the game.
It was the first time I saw Sachin bat live in a stadium. I missed the fortune last year when he missed out the Bangalore test against Pakistan due to injury.
Watching Sachin bat is the biggest pleasures of cricket. Its like watching a snake move or a fish swim. Its smooth, its stylish and it is so natural. About the shots and the perfect timing I got in those pictures. Well again the credit goes to him! Having following him madly since late eighties I just knew when he is going to hit the ball. Aamir is talented in his acting while Shahrukh is a star with his style. Sachin is as much talented as he is a star. So much so that I used hints of his movement for taking the Brett lee shot so accurate.
I could enter the stadium when he was on ~15. Except for the top edge that flied over first slip the master looked in perfect control. So much has been said about Sachin not being able to take up the nervousness at 40s and 90s and I had the misfortune to witness it. I was there and trust me he would be the only person who was not nervous about the whole half century thing..he was in perfect composure.I felt he was bowled a line which would not give runs just to create that extra pressure on him. Experts would know better but I thought the change of pace did the trick and he played on a little to early in the hands of the fielder(i am yet to watch the video so i am not really sure). Well.. another soft dismissal! (i remember he lofted one to mid on in his nineties a while back against Australia) The only silver line when he got out was that Dada was to walk in.. the crowd gave Sachin a standing ovation for his match saving innings while there was a loud cheer when another legend walked in for the last time in Bangalore!
