The Philadelphia Phillies may have won Game 5 of the 2009 World Series last night, but the Phillies didn't appear to be celebrating after the game. According to Yahoo Sports report, pitchers Cole Hamels and Brett Myers got into a bit of a verbal fight in the team locker room. So what did Brett Myers say about Cole Hamels?

As Myers walked past Hamels near Hamels’ locker he said, mocking, “What are you doing here? I thought you quit.” Before the situation escalated, Myers was guided away by a team official.

The Brett Myers comment about Cole Hamels stemmed from Hamels' recent remark that he can't wait for the season to end. Some of Hamels teammates were unhappy with the remark and it appears that Myers was willing to say something to his face.

UPDATE: According to a Philadelphia reporter, the entire Brett Myers-Cole Hamels episode was meant as a joke.

Contrary to reports, Myers was kidding when he told Hamels "I thought you quit". I was standing btwn them

Apparently Fox broadcaster Ken Rosenthal witnessed the exchange in the locker room. He reported, "I thought Myers was joking, and did not even consider writing about it in my accompanying column about Hamels." The Phila. Inquirer, Nov 4, 2009.
