Broad Street Run 2011
What's the best way to get back in running shape?
PHILADELPHIA, PA - If you are interested in the 32nd annual Blue Cross Broad Street run in Philadelphia, you need to hurry. Registration begins today. The race is the largest 10 mile race in the entire United States. With as favourite as the race is set to become, it is a good intent to register now for the race.
The cost of registration for the race is $36 and can be completed online at the official website for the race. The race is set to begin at Central Atlantic High School’s athletic field then comes down Broad Street. The race will finish at the Navy Yard. The 10 mile run is quite famous with runners, athletes, and those who like to near themselves.
All runners must pick up their Race Bib, SAI Timing Device T-shirt and Race Information Packet at the EXPO. If you can't attend the Expo, a fellow runner with proof of their finding might pick up your packet for you. Check the FAQS pagefor more detailed information No race numbers or “SAI Timing Devices”will be mailed. (No exceptions)
Start by making physical activity a regular part of our day. Start by walking for 2 minutes and then jogging for 1 and repeat this until we reach a total of 20-25 minutes. Once this becomes easier, we can decrease the walking intervals so we are running just as much as we are walking. Eventually, we should have no problem running for 2-3 miles without stopping and the rest of the training is easier from there. The most important thing is to stay positive and not let a bad day of training get us down. Good luck for the exercise!
