UFC heavyweight Brock Lesnar is coming back. The heavyweight confirmed the Brock Lesnar comeback during an appearance on ESPN Wednesday morning.

Lesnar told ESPN about the health issues that left him on the sidelines for several months. According to Lesnar, he suffered from a case of diverticulitis. The condition was so serious that doctors told him that he would have to have his colon removed. Doctors were later shocked to find that Lesnar managed to make a complete recovery. The Brock Lesnar health scare caused him to lose around 40 pounds.

So who will Brock Lesnar fight next? Before his illness, there was plenty of talk of a matchup with Shane Carwin, who he was scheduled to face at UFC 106 and UFC 108. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Lesnar-Carwin fight finally happens later this year. The fight that many MMA fans want to see--Brock Lesnar vs Fedor Emelianenko--likely won't happen any time soon.
