Brock Lesnar Illness: What Is Brock Lesnar Sick With?
UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar may not stepping into the octagon any time soon, according to UFC President Dana White. White and other are talking about a serious Brock Lesnar illness that will keep him sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Lesnar's sickness was the reason that the Brock Lesnar-Shane Carwin fight on Nov. 21 was postponed. At the time, it was said that the Lesnar was sick with a serious bout of the mono. The Lesnar-Carwin fight was supposed to be rescheduled for Jan. 2, but even that date may be in jeopardy is Brock Lesnar is still sick with mono plus another ailment.
So why is Brock Lesnar sick? No one has given a detailed explanation about what Brock Lesnar is sick with. Here's what Dana White had to say after UFC 105:
"He's in a hospital up in North Dakota somewhere right now," White said. "He went to Canada and some bad stuff happened to him, so we've got to figure it out.
"He doesn't want to talk about it publicly, but he's in bad shape. He's not well and he's not going to be getting well anytime soon."
The lack of detail has led to all kinds of baseless internet speculation about what bad stuff happened to Brock Lesnar in Canada. Is Brock Lesnar sick with the swine flu? Is it some sort of side effect from steroids? Is Brock Lesnar just plain afraid of losing his championship belt? Did he catch something after drink a bad case of Labatt's?
In reality, Lesnar's illness is likely none of the above and certainly not a laughing matter. Dana White has suggested that Lesnar may even have to give up his UFC title if his sickness continues to prevent him from defending his title. While Lesnar may have plenty of detractors, even his most vocal critics would not him to lose his title due to illness.
