A monument to baseball great Cal Ripken was stolen from outside Camden Yards last night. The statue, which consists of a giant No. 8, was reportedly stolen by four young men and was recovered by police shortly thereafter.

The Cal Ripken '8' statue is part of a series of monuments that the Baltimore Orioles have set up outside their stadium to honor all the players who have their uniform numbers retired.

Police say that the Cal Ripken monument thieves were caught by closed-circuit TV cameras. The four young men were apprehended and arrested two hours after the theft took place.

How heavy would that be? That must have been hard...

They need a better catcher to prevent steals.
