Candace Parker Pregnant With Shelden Williams' Child

WNBA MVP Candance Parker and husband Shelden Williams of the NBA's Sacramento Kings have confirmed that they are having a child.
"Shelden and I are very excited to be expanding our family," said Parker, referring to her husband Shelden Williams of the Sacramento Kings. "We feel blessed and look forward to becoming parents."
Candace Parker and Shelden Williams are expecting their first child sometime this spring. If all goes according to plan, the Los Angeles Sparks forward will be able to return to the court sometime during the WNBA season this summer.

Parker is coming off an amazing year. In April, Parker helped the Tennessee Lady Vols win their second consecutive NCAA title. She was then the #1 overall pick in the WNBA draft and went on to be named both the WNBA's Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player, She also won a gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and was named the AP female athlete of the year.

I think that Cp3 having a baby is a beautiful thing, i love Cp3 and i know that even when she does have her baby she will get back out there when she can and be even better then b4 because she lovez the game... Cp3 is an amazing athleate... I mean come on look at all her accomplishments with in 2008 thats "FREAKIN AMZING YO".... So some of you people who are saying that she is letting down her team you need to "SHUT UP" because she has done alot in such little time and i feel you need to support her because if it was you, you would want her support, am i right? of course im right... that goes for one of you ownerz of the sparks to... Anywayz i think that Cp3 is awsome and she will continue to show outstanding athletic achievement in 2009 and for many years to come..........I love you Candace your #1 supporter and fan ~Leah Owens~

I think this was not a well thought through move on their part. She is just getting her career started and learning to be a professional athlete, now she has to learn to be a wife and mother. IT is cool they got married but they should have took some tim to be a family of two, traveled, and just be together. They both have demanding schedules and very little time together so I foresee troubles more sooner than later. I like her alot but wish they would have used a birth control method for now.

I think its great that they wants too start a family. For anybody who don't think so then wow, because she can come right back after its all over and think that baby has some great changes of being a basketball star! She is an awesome athlete. She is my roe-model. I wanna be just like her, I wanna play for the Lady Vols and for the WNBA. I most DEFINATLY wanna play for Pat Summit. But anywya back too her i think she is great too look up, she makes basketball players push thereselves harder too be like her. I think she will be a GREAT mother and wife!
