This is the worst piece of journalism and jealousy, mainly from Whites in Australia. It is bloody annoying that whenever some Whites lose, they just can't accept the prowess of their competitor. They instead resort to lies, slander, fabrication and ridicule which makes them to be bad losers. How many White women look like men or have the phyisique of men who compete in all sorts of sports, ranging from soccer to athletics? too many to mention and how many White women are flat chested or masculine? again too many to mention. I therefore find this insinuation that Semenya is a man not only distateful but also racist. The World must just accept that a better woman won on the day and learn to accept defeat graciously instead of coming up with all sorts of lousy excuses not befitting of true sportspeople. Hands off Caster!

excuse me but are you an inbreed?   this response to this is why most shite south africans leave South africa!! you immediatley think its based on jealousy and greed because we didnt win,  how many Kenyans and ethiopians have won races and had some sort of suspect issues in the past and been handed the medal no questions asked? you also dont seem to fight for farness either the Du toit Girl who swims for SA and won a gold in the olympics who has one leg??? how do you validate that? they didnt get up at her for that? this is either a man in a womens league or there is steroids involved or it is genuine why not validate it???   the sports board in charge of this has their rights as does the athletes and when they signed that paper to enter this they gave the board that right to check so what if they enforce it.   i bet if it was a white women who won you would be signing a different tune!! and trust all the black people to be calling the race card, thank fuck i left that country Apartheid is over and is as dead as that excuse is build a bridge and get the fuck over it

Musa Xulu, Why do you accuse others of being racist when your statement you just made was racist from beginning to end..I am a young white South African and i trully believe caster is innocent and has been indecently attended to. I do not believe that it is the "white" people of Australia or the "white" people of South Africa that have this arrogant outlook towards Caster, it is purely arrogance of people, white , black , brown or coloured whoever they may be. It is a fault in human nature , not a fault in white human nature... Please try not voice racist opinions on other people who may or may not be racist.. That is ignorence

I am disappointed on the manner the subject matter is raised. Firstly Attletics coordinating body has a duty to satisfy itself on the attlethes participating on whether they had qualified correctly, their age, and if females are participating the correct group. I cannot understang why is the so much noise now that the lady the question so much won the gold medal. When was her genda being raised, was is before the start of all the events or just as she was winning the medals and raising the South African flag. I am pleading with all the raicist attitudist to stop, and wait for the relevant sporting authority to satisfy itself on the matter.

Amen to your approach. To many people are turning this into a racual attack. Was it a case of jelousy... maybe, but how can people stretch the view point to include racism, I thought we as South Africans had moved past that primitive manner of thinking. Besides is not the false acusations and slander being displayed about the "racist whites" racist itself? as mentioned the sports body have the right and are permitted to check all queries for the benifit of the sport... be it gender, steroids or other. Is the way in which they are conducting the test correct ...maybe not, but should they dismiss all queries in fear of upsetting people would the sport not be riddled with cheaters,? and would the joy of the sport not be destroyed? I think we should consider all possibilites before rushing to use the R word. That tipe of attitude shows ignorance and in this New South Africa were we are supposed to be working together to make ammends of the past mistakes and these kind of comments are not fair nor inline with the multi racual image we project.

although her physicality and voice are very much against her and make us believe that she might be a man, we also need to be realistic; i do not believe that caster would have wasted so much time and effort training if she knew she was a he!

I'm truly disappinted in the way Caster has been subjected to such abuse by the media. Questioning her gender on the grounds of good sportsmanship is one thing, but to nationalise the embarrassment and humiliation is totally unacceptable. Once it has been proven that she is a indeed a female, i think she deserves a public apololy and the IAAF should compensate her for the unnecessary slander and defarmation that she has been subjected to. Please let us not forget that She has just won a gold medal at international level, at the age of 18!

Did you see the race? Did you see how "she" pulled away from ALL the women, black and white alike IN THE LAST TURN? THERE IS NO WAY THAT "she" is 100% woman. That is for sure. And if you say that black women look like that just look at the others in the race right before it started. They all had feminine features except "her". Stop playing the race card. If it would have been white it would have been called into question.  "She" was wearing long shorts unlike the rest of the field. "She" has the shoulders of a male runner. SO it is not whether black or white. IT IS about male or female. Yes "she" had won races as a teenager but to explode all of a sudden at 18 as the winner? GET REAL!!!

What nationality is a South African Australian? It really sounds like some one with no identity. Very sad indeed for f%$*@# cowards who left the Rainbow country for God-Knows-Where. Shame Indeed.

Wouldn't be the first time it happened. As about race, first man who ran disguised as a woman was white, from East Germany I think.

You know, it's a form of rascism to assume that a question about this runner's genetics is solely motivated by some kind of white jealousy. Even in her own country, as a child, and by her own people, this runner has been put under suspicioun for being a man. Her own schoolmates didn't know until they split up for sports team. Other female runners have in the past complained because Semenya was using the women's locker room. If it is a she, it's a super manly she. Please don't try to attach your political or rascist views to this issue. There are genetic conditions in which someone can have outwardly female genitalia, but basically also have testes but inside their body. There's a whole range of weird freakish genetic traits that could cause her to look that way, or she could just be completely female, but have higher testosterone or who knows. Everyone thinks people come in two forms, male and female, which just isn't the case. I hope this runner is 100% female, and there is no questionable things found during medical examination for her sake and for her career. Although, if there is something strange about her genetics, I hope everyone can accept that it's a sport, and it attempts to fairly allow people to compete against one another.
