Brisbane:
India's torrid Australian summer may just have a fairytale end in
Brisbane on Tuesday. After winning the first final on Sunday, India
will be looking to wrap it up in the second final itself and India's
inspirational veteran - Sachin Tendulkar may hold the key yet again.

Adam Gilchrist's mock anger was nothing but an expression of his team's respect for Sachin Tendulkar.

"We had a
couple of close calls against Sachin earlier on but then he got into
his groove and played a superb innings," said Aussie skipper Ricky
Ponting, referring to his match-winning knock in Sydney during the
first final of the best-of-the-three finals of the tri-series.

Tendulkar
enjoys the stage of the Sydney Cricket Ground and on Sunday he left yet
another indelible imprint on it. Shockingly, there was something
Tendulkar hadn't achieved in the game - a One-Day hundred in Australia.
He erased that blot with this effort.

"It came at
a good moment. Finals is a big occasion and I am extremely pleased that
it came at the right time and when it was needed," said Tendulkar.

Clearly,
the Tendulkar of 2008 has re-discovered the art of overcoming the
nervous nineties - several had come in 2007. Now, they seem like a bad
memory as do the barbs of critics.

"I don't
worry too much about criticism because people can talk. My job is to go
out there and play. So, I let them talk," said Tendulkar.

Fittingly,
it was Tendulkar's captain who finished the game off. He had fended off
questions about the Master's patchy form throughout the series. Now,
was his chance to celebrate but he also throw another challenge at his
team.

"I think we
loved the innings - not only me but I think the whole team enjoyed the
innings, enjoyed the success, enjoyed his hundred. So, we are enjoying
it but it is important to keep in mind that there are two more games
are there to come," said Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

It was one
of the most comprehensive victories by the young Indian team on this
tour so far but the celebrations must necessarily be muted because if
Sydney win was big, Brisbane would be massive. And that is Indian next
challenge.
