Today same story was repeated as it was there few days back. Another time both team top orders digged the hole for their team, but Michael Hussey and Clarke saved Australia from falling ,Sri Lanka didnt survived and falled into own pit by rain. Australia picked up a 24-run victory on the Duckworth/Lewis method,which means Sri Lanka must now win both their remaining CB Series games and will be praying for Australia to beat India which might give them a chance.

Sri Lanka can only blame themselves for such poor performance after their bowlers manage to stop Australia on 185. Sri Lanka manage to score 77 for 4 in 29.3 overs when rain interrupted the play, they needed 101 according to rule of D/L so as to get win.They even conceeded bonus point to Australia making it more tough for them. 

Australia was sent to bat by Sri Lanka skipper Jayawardne ,His decision quite right from them . Australia Openers again failed to give solid start to Aussie inning. Gilchrist failed again ,in this series he manage to play only one superb innings. He gone for 6 bowled by Vaas. Australia started struggling when Hayden again failed,he looked out of class in this series. Ricky and Symonds too looked the same and gave their wickets for cheap and Australia struggling 54 for 4 in 21.1 overs ,but Clarke and Hussey looked in recovery state.They not only stop wicket falling but build solid partenership of 90runs. Clarke after making superb 50 gave his catch to Murali on his bowling. But Hussey looked in good touch nd was not out till end of innings and manage to take Australia to 184 for 7. He played another geniue inning in this series.

Sri Lanka needed just needing 185 to get got a big blow in second over when  Jayasuriya gone for duck and Sri Lanka shagging o for 1. With sucj blow Sri lanka started playing Defensively and started saving the wickets but their trouble increase when MDK Perera playing in his first ODI was lbw by Clark. Clark looke in superb form today he took important wicket of Jayasuriya too. With 2 down for just 3 runs Sri Lanka Captain Jayawardne and Sangakkara both started playing slowly and sensible. They started building a steady partnership but when the score reached 42 ,Jayawardne lost his patience and nick a ball of Bracken and gave catch to Gilchrist. Soon Sangakkara too lost his patience gave catch to Symonds and Sri Lanka started struggling 64 fpr 4 .Then when Silva and Dilshan trying to recover rain started coming and game was stopped. 

Rain was not in mood of going away result in win of Australia by 24 run by D/L Method ans Sri Lanka just manage to score 77 for 4. Hussey was awarded man of the match for his superb inning again.
