According to reports by DUI lawyers in Los Angeles, Gabe Pruitt of the Boston Celtics has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in a Hollywood neighborhood.

Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson Officer April Harding stated that Pruitt was stopped by a police officer after 3:00 a.m. this morning while stopped at a green light in the vicinity of Sunset and Wilcox.

The officer approached the Mercedes s550 Pruitt was driving and upon speaking with Pruitt he believed the Celtics player to be under the influence. He was then administered a field sobriety test, which has been alleged that Pruitt failed. He was then arrested under the suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence.

Pruitt is being held on $5,000 bail and Officer Harding stated he has been booked for driving under the influence and had not yet posted bail.

Hour’s prior to Pruitt’s arrest the Boston Celtics had played against the Los Angeles Clippers and lost 93 to 91. Pruitt is from Los Angeles and prior to playing for the Boston Celtics the 22 year old played college basketball for Southern California.
