CFL Week 7 Review....Week 8 Preview by mr.zoltanblack

CFL Week 7: Review

Thursday, August 7

-Toronto Argo’s stunned by visiting Ti-cats 45-21

the east gets a shade murkier

no Lumsden, no Printers, 508 total yards from

 scrimmage?

-Calgary knocked off the previously undefeated Saskatchewan Rough Riders 30-25

the win moved the Stamps one game over five-hundred and into what would

become, on Friday evening a three way tie for second place in

the CFL’s western conference.

Friday Night Football, August 8

Montreal 39 @ Winnipeg 11

The Blue Bombers offence was held in check through the first quarter of Friday’s game against the travelling Alouettes of Montreal. Winnipeg mustered just eleven point total after being shutout in the first quarter and then limited too just a single in the second. The Bombers offence "came to life" with a field goal in the third and a touchdown, finally in the four and final quarter.

I have a funny feeling that the folk in Winnipeg are in for another long, cold winter.

In other action:

Edmonton 34 @ B.C. 40

CFL Week 8: Preview

This week is a bye week in the west, and this means no games west of the Perimeter Highway in beautiful Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Hamilton @ Winnipeg Thursday, August 14

Hamilton heads to Winnipeg this week to sort out the cellar of the eastern conference. If this one seems like a no-brainer, the Ti-cats coming off a 24-point drubbing of the Toronto Argonauts should demolish the piss poor Bombers. Right.

Think again!!!

Hamilton only victories this season have come against an inconsistent Toronto Argonaut’s squad, whose world beater one week, complete dud the next syndrome has this report thinking E.Nigma.

Enigma - 2. An action, mode of action, or thing, which cannot be satisfactorily explained; a puzzle

Montreal @ Toronto Friday, August 15

Toronto will need to at least match the season high thirty-five point output, week 4 against the visiting Edmonton Eskimos if they expect to keep pace with the explosive Al’s

Week 8 Game Notes:

Expect to see Winnipeg start quarterback Kevin Glenn at home in place of the ineffective Ryan Dinwiddie

The Ti-cats on the other hand will stick with QB Richie Williams, off a three touchdown, game winning performance against the Boatmen last week.
