Chad Ochocinco 'The Tournament,' A New Dating Reality Show on VH1
As We All Know, Pro Football Players Have a Hard Time Meeting Women. That's Why Chad Ochocinco Will Star in a New Dating Reality Show Called 'The Tournament"
Chad Ochocinco like two things in this world: women and attention. So it comes as no surprise that the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver is going to get his own dating reality show. In addition to appearing on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, Ochocinco will star in a VH-1 dating show a la Rock of Love called 'The Tournament.'
The Tournament will see Ochocinco travel around the US dating women, which is basically what he does during the NFL season anyway. The winner of each episode will receive a "game ball" and advance to the next round. Each women will then be placed in a bracket and face each other in a head-to-head battle for Ochocinco's affection.
So When Is The Tournament Going To Be On TV?
The Chad Ochocinco dating reality show will be a one-hour, 10-episode series that will begin airing in July. Exact air dates have yet to be revealed.
Jeff Olde, Executive, Vice President of VH1, said the following in a statement:
"Ochocinco is one of the most electrifying individuals in sports today. His bigger-than-life personality on- and off-the-field and his notorious skills as a social networker, connecting daily with his fans, makes him a perfect fit for VH1. This show will not only give viewers a look inside his professional life, but also reveal his softer more romantic side when playing a very different kind of game."
Ochocinco is following in the footsteps of fellow NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, who had his own ABC reality show last year. Owens also appeared in a revamped version of the ABC series Superstars.
