Another Masters tournament has come and gone leaving behind a trail of exhausted golfers and golf fans, missed opportunities and two names echoing from the water-cooler discussion.  First-time winner of the tour, Charl Schwartzel and Rory McIlroy, the 21-year-old who saw it fade away in the final day.

Charl Schwartzel, of South America, ended the tournament on top after an amazing final day, finishing at -6, giving him a -14 overall.  Schwartzel birdied the last four holds to give him the leader spot, with his closest competition, Adam Scott and Jason Day, at -12 (see complete leader board).

Rory McIlroy’s final day is getting compared to some of golf’s biggest meltdowns.  McIlroy captured the leader spot after two days of the tournament, but saw it all fade away on the final day.   Dropping from first, to a 5-way tie for 15th when it was all said and done.
