Charles Woodson may get the first fine of the 2011 NFL regular season. The Green Bay Packers cornerback punched David Thomas of the New Orleans Saints during the Packers-Saints season opener on September 8, 2011.

The Charles Woodson punch on David Thomas came with about five minutes left in the third quarter. Woodson came up on a blitz and got tangled with Thomas. Woodson appears to hit Thomas with an upper cut.

Charles Woodson was penalized on the play, but not ejected.
He may face a fine, however. Last year, Richard Seymour of the Oakland Raiders was fined $25,000 for punching Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger. Woodson's punch wasn't too egregious, but NFL officials may make an early example out of him.
