Chelsea ease pressure on Avram Grant with 4-0 win
Chelsea last night eased the pressure on beleaguered manager Avram Grant and ended one of the most stressful weeks in their recent history with a 4-0 Carling Cup win at Hull City.
Potential embarrassment was avoided as Chelsea clinched their first victory in five matches and showed a glimpse of the new style of football which has been promised by Grant. Scott Sinclair put Chelsea ahead before the third-round tie was sealed by Steve Sidwell and two goals from Salomon Kalou.
