Marco Fabian scored two goals in two minutes as Chivas went on to beat the UEFA Champions 4-1 before a record South Florida crowd Wednesday night.  Chivas was down 1-0 at the half before breaking through in the 60th minute.

“This is a dream come true, to score not one but two goals against a great team like Barcelona,” said Fabian, a 22-year-old forward in his fifth season with Chivas. “Life continues but this is something I will cherish.”

Barcelona had been unbeaten during their U.S. tour of friendly match play.  Lionel Messi did not play in last night's match but Barca did field a number of starters such as David Villa (who scored their lone goal), Pique, Bisquets, Xavi, Abidal and Iniesta.  So it is not as if Chivas beat Barca's second team.

Great win for Mexican soccer and soccer on this side of the pond.
