Chris Davis the "Crush'tastic" All-Star Hits the Big Apple Stage
July 8, 2013- Chris Davis the slugger for the Baltimore Orioles is becoming a fan favorite not just in Charm City, but also around the country.
The man known as "Crush" was the leading vote-getter for the 2013 MLB All-Star Game that is being played in the Big-Apple on July 16, 2013. New York is the biggest stage in sports just ask LeBron, Kobe, Jordan or Jeter and they will all tell you the same thing.
Davis has a chance to become a house-hold name if he wins the home run derby and makes an impact during the ASG.
He will become the first Oriole player to start at first base since 1985 when Eddie Murray made the start. Davis was born in 1986.
His MLB leading 33 home runs during the first half of the season has some connection to Murray. Number 33 was the jersey number worn by Murray.
Derrick E. Vaughan of Dunkadelic Sports Marketing says, "Chris Davis has a chance to surpass Joe Flacco as the top sports star in Baltimore. Chris has a cool nickname. Ray Lewis is retired and Flacco has to continue to perform at a high level to maintain the top spot. Davis has a good shot at winning the American League MVP this season. He had more all-star votes than Miguel Cabrera who just last season became the first player to win the Triple Crown in 45-years. That is amazing that a first-time All-Star dose that. The sky is the limit for "Crush."
