Chris Henry Funeral: Loleini and Friends Say Goodbye to Chris
Chris Henry's funeral took place today in Westwego Louisiana, and Loleini Tonga, Chris Henry's fiancee and his friends and family said their final goodbyes to the football player, father, and friend who died on December 17th after falling out the back of a moving pick-up truck.
Loleini Tonga spoke at Chris Henry's funeral:
"Can't nobody feel what I'm feeling right now. ... We loved each other very much. People say I helped change his life. No. He changed mine," said Tonga, wearing sunglasses and pausing between sentences. "We were supposed to get married in three months, but I'm going to wait until I see him again."
His teammates from the Cincinnati Bengals also attended the funeral along with hundreds of others. It was held at the New Orleans Hornets practice facility. Each Bengals teammate wore a round pin with a number 15 in it, Henry's number and many wore red ribbons with a photo of Henry on it that said 'In Loving Memory... Chris 'Slim' Henry'.
The NFL commissioner Roger Goodell spoke at the funeral as well:
"His future as a husband and a father were important to him," Goodell said. "He was a young man that struggled, made some decisions that he regretted, but he put himself on the right path. And I'm proud of that. I'm proud of him."
Coach Marvin Lewis also spoke well of Henry:
"It's a bright story and one that didn't get to get all the way to the end of it which is the most unfortunate part," the coach said. "We'll miss Chris' sparkling smile."
Shane Shelley was the high school quarterback with Chris Henry and he spoke about what Henry's death meant for Belle Chasse:
"It's a sad day for Belle Chasse. We really lost a good friend, a brother, one of my best friends," said a watery-eyed Shelley. "It's hard. We lost one of us. We're going to miss him. We love him."
Chris Henry had an open casket and his friends and family filed past to say their last goodbyes.

This young man died for nothing. I heard that his fiance threw him off the back of the truck on purpose! If that is true, then she should be charged and thrown in jail for the rest of her life becuase he had such a bright future ahead of him and it was cut short. R.I.P. Chris Henry.
