The AP Basketball poll will be released on Jan. 5 and there will likely be some major changes to the Top 25 after a week of upsets.

This season, the top of the rankings have been remarkably consistent, with schools like North Carolina, UConn, and Oklahoma. That's likely to change, however, as several of those teams were upset.

The UNC Tarheels lost to Boston College at home, putting their #1 ranking in peril. Connecticut lost to Georgetown, meaning they may not be able to leapfrog over North Carolina. Thanks to losses by the UNC Tarheels and UConn Huskies, the Pitt basketball team may be able to seize top spot in the polls. As for Oklahoma, they lost to Arkansas. Other teams in NCAA Basketball Top 25 that lost last week include Notre Dame and Purdue.

Polls are due out Jan. 5. Visit our College Basketball channel for updated rankings.
