Colt McCoy Number 12 Texas Longhorns Jersey To Be Retired Before Baylor vs Texas Game, October 30th

The Number 12 will no longer grace a Texas Longhorn Football jersey as it belongs to Colt McCoy, the former star quarterback for Texas.

Colt McCoy was the all time leader in total touchdowns, touchdown passes and passing yards in the the history Longhorn football.


Quarterback Vince Young was the last Longhorn to have his jersey retired, joining Earl Campbell, Tommy Nobis, Ricky Williams and Bobby Layne.

McCoy was twice nominated for a Heisman Trophy and was selected in the third round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns.
