The former British Empire and Commonwealth connection have left various influences in different countries. Rugby seems popular everywhere, but cricket didn't catch on with the Canadians. It's, howver, hugely popular in India and Pakistan, as well as the Indian and Pakistani communities in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Canada, and United Kingdom itself.
When we're in Sunnybrook Park to launch the toy rocket, I saw a game of cricket, not that I undertood the rules.
