Complete NFL Supplemental Draft Results 2011: Pryor to Raiders
The NFL Supplemental Draft Took Place on Monday, August 22, 2011. Here Are Draft Results
The NFL Supplemental Draft took place on Monday, August 22, 2011. The draft allows NFL teams to select players who are ineligible to play college football next year but did not petition the league for early entry before the NFL Draft deadline.
Only one team selected a player in the 2011 NFL Supplemental Draft. The Oakland Raiders selected Terrelle Pryor of Ohio State in the third round.
If a team uses a pick in the NFL Supplemental Draft, they must forfeit a draft pick in the corresponding round of the following year's NFL Draft. That means that the Raiders will not have a third-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Terrelle Pryor was by far the most high-profile player in the NFL Supplemental Draft 2011. The former Ohio State product left the team after violating NCAA rules.
No other teams selected a player in the NFL Supplemental Draft 2011.
The following players went undrafted in the Supplemental Draft: Western Carolina DB Torez Jones, Northern Illinois DB Tracy Wilson, Lindenwood DE Keenan Mace, Georgia RB Caleb King and North Carolina DE Mike McAdoo.
They now become free agents.

Another idiot move by an idiot owner, awesome for Raider nation! A once storied and proud franchise makes another blunder, some things never change; does the name Jamarcus Russell ring a bell? To my friend T. Rob, this is why it never gets better, banking on problem children is never a safe bet. Prove me wrong Al Davis, the NFL needs the Raiders.

So what is even the point of the supplemental draft? One player was chosen and they gave up the chance to get a decent third round pick next year. Why not just wait until he becomes a free agent and scoop him up as soon as they can?

They probably took him because they felt they wouldn't get him with a later round pick, or they could not get him to sign as a FA. Either way, Raiders blow.

He is not a qb of the future or a face of a franchise. The Raiders (Al Davis) can't pick a qb anymore. The supplemental Draft is for players who were ineligible for the past draft. They were ineligible for a reason MOST of the time it is for misconduct or grades, but either way the individual has character issues. If the Raiders waited another team would have been able to get him. Al wanted him.

why was pryor picked in 3rd of supplemental draft, when no one else was picked, kinda of silly to have a draft anyways for this, if you gotta go thru all this process

Is that cat in the 1st post serious? Face of the franchise? LMAO!! Im from Ohio and watched Pryor at OSU many times. He is ok at best. Does some things well and many things poorly. Raiders have had a typical raider off-season....lose the best DB in game, lose their best OL, and lose a good safety in Huff. So they sign Campbell and Pryor to offset these loses?? See the Pittsburgh Steelers if you want to view a franchise that does everything right!!
