The NHL team, still smarting from its loss in the 2011 Stanley Cup finals, will begin its new campaign on October 6, 2011 with a home game vs the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Canucks will face the Boston Bruins only once this season on January 7, 2011 in Boston.
