In one of the most gruesome injuries of the year, UFC fighter Corey Hill broke his leg during a fight against Dale Hartt. Hartt blocked a kick by Hill and their shins collided, causing Hill's leg to literally snap. 

The referee stepped in and called the fight at the 20 second mark of Round 2. Hartt was initially upset by the referee's decision, unaware of the damage to Hill's leg.

The fight was an unpleasant ending to UFC's Fight for the Troops event, a fundraiser for medical research for veterans.
