FIREPOWER - Nov_ 14th 2009 - Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto: Pimped Ad

Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao, the pound-for-pound king, after beating Oscar De La Hoya in 2008 and knocking out Britains Ricky Hatton in May, will face Cotto, 34-1 with 27 knockouts, on November 14 in Las Vegas in a welterweight showdown... Pacquiao starts training, despite tensions made by the flamboyant trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr., and completely denied the accusations agaist him, he insisted that he always fights cleanly, even stressing that he doesn't know anything about steroids... the six-time world champion temporarily bid goodbye to show business to focus on his much awaited blockbuster bout against Miguel Cotto...

Boxing star Manny Pacquiao returned to the country early Thursday and will start priming up for a two-month training for his Nov. 14 title fight with World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight king Miguel Cotto.

Pacquiao and his small entourage that toured New York, Puerto Rico, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego for almost a week to promote the Cotto bout arrived at 5 a.m. via Philippine Airlines flight 103.

He is expected to wrap up all the remaining commitments he left behind while doing the five-city press tour and by next week, serious training starts at the City of Pines.

Pacquiao will clash with World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico for the welterweight title and World Boxing Council (WBC) “diamond belt” on Nov. 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Cotto, he's the kind of fighter that it's a difficult opponent,” Pacquiao said before a Major League Baseball (MLB) game. “It's hard to compare to de la Hoya or Ricky Hatton.”

Last week, Floyd Mayweather, Sr. accused Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao of using performance enhancing substances. Mayweather was quoted as saying "I believe he's on some type of supplements. I'm convinced about a lot of boxers," Mayweather Sr. said. "That's what they're doing right now. Everybody should be checked a little bit more thoroughly. Sometimes people know what's going on but they ain't saying nothing."
