Courtney Upshaw-Kendall Grzyb Arrest: Bama Player & GF Arrested

University of Alabama linebacker Courtney Upshaw was arrested on charges of domestic violence/harrassment. It appears girlfriend Kendall Grzyb was also arrested in what is being described as a domestic dispute.

Upshaw was arrested this morning while Kendall Grzyb was arrested overnight. Kendall Gryzb's father, Dave Gryzb, downplayed the incident, telling a local newspaper that the whole thing was a simple lover's quarrel.

"The cops just happened to be there and see it and they took them both in," he said, "I hate to see this guy get in too much trouble because I honestly think it was probably initiated by my daughter. I don't think he laid a hand on her. He just tried to restrain her to keep from getting hit again."

Courtney Upshaw is considered a promising sophomore who is fighting for a spot in Alabama's starting lineup.
