Australia outfoxed South Africa to clinch the test series at Kingsmead Stadium in Durban, and hang on to their number-one ranking.

During their second inning, the Australian side declared, meaning  that, once the Proteas stepped up to the wicket, they had to best Oz's score or lose the match. They did not best Oz's score.

One match remains, to be played in Cape Town.

Fast bowler Peter Siddle and part-time wristspinner Simon Katich took three wickets each as South Africa lost seven wickets for 126 on Tuesday to be dismissed for 370-9 just before tea at Kingsmead, with captain Graeme Smith unable to bat due a fractured left little finger.
The South Africans were bowled out seven minutes before tea with three wickets falling for 63 runs in the final session.

I'm including my mate ilikechips' Twitter feed, as he's been following the test religiously.

Meanwhile, England plays its fifth and final test against the West Indies, facing an uphill battle to pull off a win.
