The addition of Shane Watson to the RR squad and his fierce 90 runs innings in the last game is another encouraging factor for the team.

Both the teams are looking to qualify for the playoffs. They fifth placed Rajasthan Royals are separated by the seventh position CSK by just one point. The Royals have 12 points from 12 games and the Super Kings have 11 points from the same number of games.

It is pressure time for the CSK. The four games they have left before the playoffs include one against the KKR, the table toppers and another against the Daredevils, who are currently at second spot.

In the past CSK has fired when required. They have won two IPLs without being the best team in league stages. Can the Super Kings do it again?

The CSK might be without their highest scorer of the tournament because of a viral infection. Du Plessis has scored 385 runs so far in eleven innings. However, Doug Bollinger is fit and might be back after missing the last game.

Although the Royals are not the favorites for this game, they have a greater chance to qualify for the playoffs, at least on paper. Among their four remaining games, they have to play Deccan Chargers and Pune Warriors, the bottom two on the points table. Furthermore, three of the remaining games are at Jaipur, where they seem to win every game.

The Royals are the only team with two players in the top five runs scorer of the tournament so far. Rahane, with 463 runs and Dravid, with 393 runs sit at number three and number five on that list respectively.
