D-Backs stay hot, down Rockies
Even though the season has barely started, it is clear that the D-backs will be the team to beat in the NL West. Anyone who say the young talent emerge over the past few years can see they are now starting to mature at the same time and actually feeding off of one another's energy. Byrnes and Dan Haren aside, it's good to see a baseball team build a powerhouse from its farm system. And, despite some recent trades, there's still some great young talent in Tucson, Mobile and South Bend

The Arizona RepublicBrandon Webb said it was the best he has felt on the mound in a long time.
With the hitting support he got from his Diamondbacks teammates Friday night, it was easy to see why.
Arizona ripped three more home runs, giving it a share of the major-league lead with 20, and Webb gave up four hits in eight innings in an 8-2 victory over Colorado in front of 31,732 fans at Chase Field.
