Arsenal FC Director Danny Fiszman Dies from Cancer

Danny Fiszman, who sat on the board of directors for Arsenal FC, has died following a battle with cancer. He was 66. Arsenal FC posted the notice of Danny Fiszman's passing on its website. His voice, wisdom and presence around the football club he so dearly loved will be sorely missed.

Danny Fiszman was instrumental in moving Arsenal from Highbury to Emirates Stadium in Ashburton Grove. Danny Fiszman sold his stake in Arsenal two days ago, on April 11, due to his declining health.

Born in 1945, Danny Fiszman was the son of German refugees who fled the Nazis. He founded and ran Star Diamonds Group, selling it to focus on his role with Arsenal.
