Dave Barnett Migraine Video: Similar to Serene Branson

Texas Rangers announcer Dave Barnett suffered a bit of a meltdown during the Rangers-Padres game on June 18. Barnett was describing a play, and then went off the rails: "The go-ahead run is at fifth on what Adams is insisting on calling a botched robbery. What actually happened was his henchman took a piece... literally out of..." You can see video footage of the broadcast below.

Dave Barnett's mic was cut off after that. Viewers were immediately reminded of Serene Branson, whose complex migraine with aura led to a similar on-air incident.

Indeed, the Rangers PR guy says that Dave Barnett's erratic broadcast is tied to migraines. Barnett will miss the next two Rangers games for medical evaluation.
